Christmas in USA

The 25th of December is Christmas Day. It is a favorite holiday in the United States. They begin to decorate Christmas trees after Thanksgiving. It is bright and beautiful all around. They buy presents for their families and put them under the Christmas tree. They like to send Christmas cards to their relatives and friends. In US people celebrate Christmas with a big family dinner. For Christmas dinner they have roast turkey, mashed potatoes, and salty meat pies. For dessert they have raisin pudding, apple pie or fruitcake.

New year and Christmas in Armenia
New Year is a favorite holiday in Armenia. In Armenia we decorate Christmas tree with bright lights and ornaments. We like to decorate the Christmas table with candles. Parents buy and put presents under the Christmas tree. In Armenia families gather together and start to celebrate the New year late at night on December 31. For us it is traditional to make  tolma, roast pork, salads, we bake cakes and etc. On these  days tables are full of meals.

In Armenia we celebrate Christmas on January 6th. For Christmas  dinner we cook  fish, rice, we also have  dried fruits and make  gata.
